During this initial 15-minute consultation, we will:

  • Gather basic information to prepare for insurance verification.

2. We Advocate for Your Coverage

Navigating behavioral health benefits can be complex, but our authorization specialists handle the entire process for you. We contact your insurance provider directly to secure the necessary authorizations for assessment and treatment.

  • Verification: We confirm your specific ABA coverage, copays, and deductibles.
  • Authorization: We submit your child’s diagnostic report and referral to get the "green light" for an assessment.
  • Transparency: We explain your financial responsibility upfront so there are no surprises.

3. Play-based observation by a BCBA

Once insurance is approved, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will schedule a comprehensive skills assessment. While this is a clinical evaluation, to your child, it will look a lot like play.

What happens during the assessment:

  • Observation: The BCBA observes your child in their natural environment (home or center) to understand their communication style, social skills, and play patterns.
  • Parent Interview: We sit down with you to discuss family history, daily routines, and the specific behaviors you want to support or reduce.
  • Baseline: This establishes the starting point from which we will measure all future progress.

4. Care Plan & Scheduling

Data from the assessment is transformed into a formalized Treatment Plan. This document outlines specific, measurable goals tailored to your child—from improving speech to mastering daily living skills.

  • The Review: We review the plan with you for your approval—you are a key partner in this process.
  • The Team: We match your child with a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) whose energy and experience align with your child's personality.
  • The Schedule: We build a consistent therapy schedule (Session times) that fits your family's life, ensuring your child gets the focused attention they deserve without delay.
